I am Devansh Mittal, a Physics Educator, Mentor, and lifelong student of scientific thought, currently mentoring students for IIT-JEE, NEET, Olympiads, and advanced Physics at Kota, Rajasthan.

Before transitioning fully into Physics education, I did my graduation in Computer Science from the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-Hyderabad) from 2003-2007. After that I worked in the IT industry between 2007 – 2009. During this period I happened to live in London and Cambridge, United Kingdom, to work with the clients.

After that, I moved into academia and served as a Lecturer at IIIT-Hyderabad from 2009 to 2014. After that, I worked as a Lecturer at IIT (BHU), Varanasi from 2014 to 2015. During this period, my academic interests extended across multiple disciplines including Theoretical Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science, Philosophy of Mind, Psychology, and the Mind-Body Problem of Consciousness.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of mentoring students who have achieved some of the highest levels of academic excellence in the world. My students have secured AIR-1 in IIT-JEE Advanced, multiple ranks within the Top-100 in JEE Advanced, perfect scores of 180/180 in NEET Physics, Gold Medals in prestigious international Olympiads such as IPHO and IJSO, and admissions into globally renowned institutions including MIT, Stanford, Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London, UC Berkeley, University of Michigan and many such others.

My approach to teaching has always gone far beyond examination preparation.

I believe Physics is not merely a collection of formulas or problem-solving techniques. At its deepest level, Physics is a way of thinking — a disciplined pursuit of clarity, imagination, intuition, and truth. My teaching philosophy therefore focuses not only on helping students achieve exceptional academic outcomes, but also on developing deep conceptual understanding, intellectual curiosity, analytical thinking, creativity, and scientific temperament.

My engagement with Physics extends far beyond competitive examinations. I remain deeply interested in foundational questions across Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Relativity, Quantum Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and the philosophy underlying modern science itself.

Alongside Physics, I continue to explore subjects such as Psychology, Human Performance, Learning Science, Health, Productivity, Self-Development, and Philosophy — all of which influence the way I mentor students and think about education.

I strongly believe that truly transformative education is not about producing short-term results alone. It is about shaping independent thinkers capable of approaching complexity with depth, clarity, creativity, and intellectual honesty.

And, as I always say to my students – “Without Imagination and Intuition, Physics is just Blind Mathematics.”
